Thanks to the following musicians who've shared the stage with me: In addition to Dave and Bill, Bob Smith, Sparkie Radcliffe and Brian Kahler, Bob and Jake Fry, Tom and Lori Reese, Mike Windish, Alec Spiegelman, Tim Rupert, Adam Minnaugh, Art Martino, Doug Hill, Robin Work, Jack Snavely, Bill Fisher, Andy Angel, Dick Hake, Mike Olmstead, Tom Schwalm, Julie Biser, Steve Rudolph, Jimmie Wood, Reuel Ryman, Buddy Edgar, Ron Waters, Dave and Pat Edwards, Tom Jewett, Steve Jewett, Ross Mounds, Jim Reilly, Ed Hain, Tom Bopp, Bishop Norman Williams, Beth Trez, Pat McCann, Dave Armesto, Pete Daubenspeck, John Catalano, Kristi Maitilasso, Mark Ryan and all of the Central Pennsylvania Friends of Jazz musicians with whom I've had the pleasure of performing.
All That Jazz was formed in 1998 when three unlikely characters met in a high school bandroom to further their interest in jazz. The instigator of this trio, Gene Minnaugh, wanted to pursue playing in a trio and/or quartet setting. Dave Barber (piano) and Bill Boshinski (bass) rounded out the initial trio. That fall we played our first paying job for a backyard wedding reception and began a friendship that still exists today. There have been numerous musicians who have played under the title "All That Jazz" and all of us still stay in touch today. For approximately 7 years, All That Jazz became a fixture on the West Shore at Catalano's Restaurant and Lounge, until the owners retired at the end of 2006.
Since January 2007, Gene has played exclusively with some of his bandmates for private venues. The experience has also led Gene to travel with his horn and play in venues such as the Quay Street Brewing Company, north of Detroit,
Shanghai 1930
and the Jazz Bistro in San Francisco and various venues in Venice Beach, Santa Monica and Malibu.
For a very pleasant and relaxing musical experience, please feel free to e-mail Gene by clicking the e-mail ATJ button. He can also be reached at 717-561-1705.
